Created in collaboration with Voirelia, a company dedicated to contemporary dance as a medium to explore human psychology, humanistic philosophy, and cultural safety.
This intimate and visually compelling film adaptation of an evening-length contemporary ballet stage performance, “De/Formed Revival,” follows a sculptor haunted by lost love who becomes trapped by his own obsession as he attempts to craft an idealized partner. Blending physically rigorous contemporary dance with Renaissance art visuals, the narrative is set in the metaphor of sculptures coming to life. The work explores themes of control, transformation, and the struggle to break free from imposed identities.
