Depending on live-video feedback, projections and the resulting theatrics to exist, ersatz is a modern duet between dance and video.

Out of playful experimentation arises a certain abstracted social commentary. The ghostly image of perpetual imitators as followers brings up notions of narcissism and a false sense of community like a battalion of copies. Using speed and mounting complexity the individual attempts to escape eternal replication against a swaying, twisting backdrop of kaleidoscoped dancers.
